The elementary and high school bonds for School District 2 will save taxpayers more than $94,000 every year in energy costs. Energy use will be slashed by:

• Replacing uninsulated single-pane windows with double-pane insulated windows.

• Replacing leaky, uninsulated roofs and wet roof insulation.

• Replacing an 80-year-old boiler at Senior High with a modern, energy-efficient unit.

These improvements are important to the school district’s bottom line and to the comfort and safety of students. The community has asked the school district to control costs and to take care of what we have already given them. Let’s support them in this commendable effort to do both.

When you receive your ballot, do vote for both bonds. That will provide necessary repairs at great savings to us, the taxpayers.
