So they are back at it again! The politicians in Washington are still fooling around with the "public option," nonprofit insurance co-ops, etc., in regard to "health care revisions," all in the pretext that it will lower health care costs, provide coverage to more uninsured, etc. Of course, all of this is to be paid for by taxpaying citizens. There is much news/propaganda in the media that this actually will substantially increase health insurance costs for everyone, including senior Medicare recipients. Naturally, this is to be publicly paid for and managed by the federal government!
It is acknowledged that there is a need to rework some aspects of our health care system. It is also acknowledged that the results of the November 2008 election indicated the voters wanted "change." Is it reasonable to believe they were in favor of a taxpayer funded, government-managed insurance system over that provided by insurance companies, who presumably, if they made a profit, would pay taxes?
Is this an attempt to drive us into socialism and more government or what? Is this the kind of change that was wanted?
