Americans have always valued education. We believe public education is a cornerstone of individual and community success. We know it’s essential to getting a job with a good wage and health benefits. We know an educated workforce is fundamental to a community’s economic prosperity. That’s why United Way is putting unprecedented energy, focus and resources on education.
United Way leverages resources through public engagement and enlists hundreds of Yellowstone County citizens to give, advocate and volunteer. We work to mobilize individuals, organizations and our community to be part of our change effort.
We must give our children the tools to:
Enter school ready to succeed.
Read proficiently by fourth grade.
Make a successful transition into and out of middle school.
Graduate from high school on time.
Be ready for success in college, work and life.
We believe that it is time to give, the more than 15,000 students that attend Billings Public Schools the tools they need to succeed. We believe it’s time to stand up and say “yes” to our kids.
United Way is a strong supporter of educational investments. A community is only as good as its schools; Billings needs to commit to its public schools
Please join the movement for positive change by voting yes and returning your ballot by the deadline of May 4.
