Protect Helena kids from sex education

This letter is in regards to an article in The Billings Gazette about a proposed “sex education” program in Helena.  What are they thinking?

The school board wants to teach ninth through 12th-graders erotic art.  Well, why don’t they just hand them a Playboy magazine?  When did pornography become acceptable? Pornography is defined as “literature or art calculated solely to supply sexual excitement.”

The school board wants to teach fifth-graders different ways of intercourse.  According to the Bible, two of those ways are sodomy.  Sodomy is defined as “unnatural sexual intercourse, esp. of one man with another . . .” When did sodomy become acceptable?

The school board wants to teach first-graders that gay love is acceptable.  The Bible states that homosexuality is shameful and unnatural (Romans 1:26-27 ). We are to love the person, but despise their sin (homosexuality ).  We don’t make that sin acceptable.

The school board wants to teach kindergartners anatomical terms.  When did it become outdated to instruct children that “private parts” are private and not a social subject?

Parents, stand up for your children.  Don’t let their innocence be taken away in the guise of “education.”  Parents, I beg you, protect your children.  Let them be children.

God help us all.

Dorothy Arnoldt
