It seems irresponsible for Sen. Steve Daines and Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, to make such a statement about what Planned Parenthood does for women. The senators make is sound as though they are selling kidneys, hearts, etc., when, in fact, they have provided stem cells for research. Perhaps Daines’ life was saved because of this research. The use of fetal tissue has produced ground-breaking progress in many health issues. Have you and your children had immunizations for measles, rubella, and more recently shingles?
His statement is misleading and incomplete.
I wonder why he uses taxpayers’ money for spreading these falsehoods and not for the care of the ones least able to speak. You are attempting to sidetrack the issue away from all the good accomplished by this clinic.
Planned Parenthood has helped so many of us women. We can get gynecological care there without being judged. To revile the whole program with these misleading statements, certainly makes one wonder about how you view your responsibility.
Why should this even be a political issue? Women don't get pregnant by themselves, but often face the responsibility alone, especially poor women with limited options. Politicians in the past have demonstrated their responsibility by providing care for women through Planned Parenthood. Please take this issue off the table, and work for making life better for women and children.
