As a woman and a veteran, I know that the right choice for Senate is John Walsh.
As lieutenant governor, Walsh launched the Yellow Ribbon Program that provided counseling for National Guard soldiers and families and worked to reduce unemployment among vets.
Now, as senator, Walsh has tackled the rising crisis of suicide among veterans — an issue that has been ignored for too long. And that's not the only veterans' issue Walsh is working to address. From improving accountability at the VA to increasing pay for family caregivers of disabled vets, Walsh has made sure that veterans' interests are represented in the Senate.
Walsh will stop at nothing to get the job done. Daines, on the other hand, has resorted to slimy attack ads to hide from his record of looking out for nobody but himself. To promote an attack that allows voters to believe Walsh tolerated gender-based discrimination is ridiculous. Especially when these attacks come from Daines, a man that blocked the Paycheck Fairness Act and voted against funding of domestic- and sexual-violence programs.
When you compare their records side by side, we can clearly see that Walsh will work for us and Daines will work for himself.
