Don't judge folks using handicap parking tags

Last week while parked legally in a handicap space, someone put a sticker on my car. As it was raining, part had come off but it stated, “If you can walk into the store you don’t deserve a handicap permit.”

No doctor OK’s a permit if we do not have health problems that deserve one.

I know some people do use other people’s and misuse this privilege. I am glad volunteers do police for misuse.

Yes, some of us look healthy, but we have conditions that limit our ability to be as active. Instead of complaining, why don’t you help? Sometimes we struggle pushing a cart and unloading our groceries. Don’t judge others till you’ve walked a mile in our shoes. We don’t choose to have health problems.

As our city debates prejudice — isn’t this a form of being prejudice?

The Bible says in Matthew 7:1, “Do not judge or you too will be judged.”
