There's an old adage that states, "You don't know how good you have it until you lose it." Trust me I understand the "quip" now. We have had the same Gazette carrier for over 30 years. Never have we missed a delivery, no matter the weather or for any other reason; our paper was tucked inside our screen door. We tipped them faithfully every Christmas as far back as I can remember!

Today with failing health and handicaps, I must apologize to my former carrier who displayed outstanding work ethic and fortitude! I have made a grievous error with them and have taken them for granted. I assumed that all your carriers performed like ours has for all these years. We have never had any reason to complain about our service. Our particular paper route has a large group of senior citizens who have varied handicaps and need to have the paper on our porch to keep us from having an accident trying to find the paper in the morning.

My former carrier knows who is paying this compliment to them and we don't have to name their names to embarrass them. Thank you for your dedicated service for all these years!

Don Jacobson, Sr.
