Military spending shouldn't be cut

I did a stint with the 35th Infantry Regiment in Korea (1951-52). Other service members did the same in World War II, Vietnam, Middle East and other conflicts. These members of our armed forces bled and died to keep America safe. Now we have Secretary Hagel and his mentors trying to chop our military down to an impotent third-class "fighting machine."

We know who we sent to Congress, and we know who are in on this travesty. Why don't our "beltway boys" cut the billions spent for: 1. aid to nations that hate us; 2. junkets for the Obamas and Congress; 3. pork and boondoggles on projects as facetious and asinine as "How Far Do Toads Jump in Fallon County?"
