You ran an article on your editorial page written by John Barrasso, Republican senator from Wyoming, and Heidi Heitkamp, Democratic-Nonpartisan League Party senator from North Dakota, entitled "The New Anti-Coal Rules Will Cut Jobs and Hurt the Economy." The article brings to our attention that among other damage the new regulations promulgated by the EPA with no input by the American voter will be restricting the amount of carbon dioxide existing power plants produce by amounts so great that many power plants will be forced to close, putting great numbers of people out of work in high-paying jobs. This is happening when we already have millions of people out of work.

I would like to call to the Montana voter's attention that we already have one senator, Jon Tester, who has let us know that he stands with the EPA and Obama on these regulation implementations, and it is just as obvious that John Walsh, our newly appointed senator, simply follows Tester’s lead on these matters. We don't need two of these guys back there. One is more than enough. And since we know where Daines stands on power grabs of this sort, if Daines were our senator right now he would have been joining Sens. Barrasso and Heitkamp in their article. And lastly, given the chance, we would know how he is going to vote.

I can’t wait until November when our representative becomes our new senator.
