Obamacare not great for the self-employed

Obamacare is not such a great deal if you are self-employed. For a self-employed 55-year-old man earning $55,000 a year, it is expected that $6,558 is set aside for health insurance premiums.

After paying taxes on $55,000 a year, about $38,000 is left. The Obamacare premium is about 17 percent of that $38,000. After paying the Obamacare tax, there is $32,000 left to spend on living expenses and health care deductibles.

Subsidies are not provided for this income level. I guess equality means everybody is poor.
