I thank Col. John Walsh for his service, both military and as a U.S. senator.
He deserves more than a footnote in Montana politics. He and his fellow warriors gave the Iraqis back their government. They didn't want it. Walsh was the first senator to say not one more American sacrificed. I say, to hell with Iraq.
I wonder, now that The Gazette has expressed its indignation of plagiarism and demanded resignation, has The Gazette done their due diligence and investigated the source and who tipped that "journalist" to uncover such an egregious affront to the holier-than-now wordsmiths?
Expressing your deeply held beliefs is not enough. You have to pay homage to Socrates, Aristotle and Mark Twain to satisfy those who print the word, regardless of their political leaning.
I have never had an original thought. I am the sum total of my education and school of hard knocks (Nam 65-66). I apologize to Samuel Clemens and whoever-the-hell else I have quoted without acknowledgment.
I realize I am insulting the folks who buy ink by the barrel, a losing proposition. However, I smell a Cheney in the "Koch's" kitchen. Another Dailey/Hill purchase of Montana government. We deserve whatever the hell we get.
