Sen. Enzi has been a lifelong friend.
Enzi keenly understands the proper balance between protecting Wyoming's public lands while, at the same time, allowing Wyomingites to appropriately access those lands. He deals with public lands issues with a framework that always seeks to mitigate federal intervention in the management of Wyoming's public lands. For example, Enzi helped keep Wyoming lands in Wyoming hands with actions such as transferring BLM land to the town of Frannie, assisting Park County with the purchase of federal land, helping Campbell County, Big Horn County and Johnson County residents turn federal lands into private property, and transferring public lands managed by the BLM in Washakie County and Big Horn County under the management of the Westside Irrigation District in Wyoming.
Enzi is very good at passing and stopping legislation. He works on legislation where there is common ground. He does not compromise, he votes for what he supports and against that which he does not.
