This letter is about the article in the July 19 Gazette about Laurel.
When I was a kid, My folks were living in a boxcar near the Yellowstone River. I helped hoe and thin beets.
I remember when the black crickets came off the Rims into our yard and up the side of our home. My dad made a ditch full of oil to keep them out of our yard. It didn't help much!
I am 92 years old now and a retired post master.
