Regarding a story in the Sunday, March 30, Local and State section, “Young Marines find a place to practice their aim":
When I saw the article's photo, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This boy was being instructed to shoot at targets shaped like human silhouettes. I couldn't figure out who was the most idiotic: the instructor for promoting "two to the body and one to the head," the range owner/operator for allowing this type instruction to take place in his facility or The Gazette for publishing such a photograph. It's no wonder the non-shooting public thinks that we who take up the shooting sports are a bunch of kill-crazy wackos. Shame on you, Gazette.
