GREAT FALLS - Two Great Falls girls who just finished their junior year in high school are among 268 students nationwide who earned perfect scores on the ACT test this spring, according to the national ACT board in Iowa City.
April Dower of Great Falls High and Kaitlyn Carlson of C.M. Russell scored a perfect 36 on the test, which they took in April.
Dower says she practiced for a month before the test, taking practice tests and working on timed essays in English class. Carlson says she really studied the night before the test and usually does well on standardized tests.
Dower says she wants to study engineering at Montana State University. Carlson isn't sure where she'll go to college, but she wants to study some sort of science.
