GREAT FALLS — School trustees in Great Falls have expelled a male student for the remainder of the school year for having a gun on campus.

The Great Falls Tribune reports administrators found the gun in the student's car after an off-campus altercation led to an investigation at school.

Trustees say the student can apply for re-entry in the fall, as long as he meets several terms outlined by trustees during the expulsion hearing.

The student's name wasn't released.
