The Stillwater County Sheriff's Office is seeking help from the public for information about the death and identity of a man found Thursday afternoon near the railroad tracks by Park City.

Sheriff Cliff Brophy Friday described the man as white, in his late 30s, with curly brown hair past his ears. The man also had a black and gray full-face beard, and his teeth were in poor condition. The man was wearing a blue denim coat with red flannel lining, a red shirt with the words "Crow Fair 2008,'' green pants and black and white low-cut tennis shoes.

A man in the area found the body about 1:10 p.m. and called authorities. The body was by the railroad tracks near the Stillwater County and Yellowstone County line.

An autopsy was conducted Thursday night to determine the cause of death. Results of the autopsy are not yet available.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Stillwater County Sheriff's office at 406-322-5326.

The Montana Highway Patrol, Park City Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Department and railroad investigators assisted at the scene.
