Six out of seven people riding in an SUV were hospitalized when their vehicle crashed Tuesday night on Montana Highway 117 between Nashua and Fort Peck.

"A vehicle attempted to pass another vehicle and lost control and rolled and caught fire," said Valley County Sheriff Glen Meier.

Matthew Miranda and Ester Grace Rodgers were airlifted to Billings Clinic and are listed in fair condition, according to spokeswoman Gwen Gatzemeier. The others were hospitalized in Glasgow, according to Meier.

The single-vehicle rollover happened about 8 p.m. five miles south of Nashua. Ambulances from Fort Peck, Nashua and Glasgow responded along with Valley County sheriff's officers and the Montana Highway Patrol.
