HELENA — Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., will join Rep. Denny Rehberg, R-Mont., as speakers at the Lewis and Clark Lincoln/Reagan dinner in Helena on Feb. 5.
Bachmann, a three-term congresswoman, is an advocate of bipartisan efforts to overhaul the earmark system in Congress.
Last summer, she founded the House Tea Party Caucus, and Rehberg was among the first representatives to join the caucus.
Bachmann previously served in the Minnesota Senate and spent five years as a federal tax attorney, working on hundreds of civil and criminal cases.
Rehberg is a six-term congressman who last week was appointed chairman of a House Appropriations subcommittee that oversees the budgets of health and human services, education and labor.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner, at the Red Lion Colonial Hotel.
Tickets are $75 per person. Reservations are due by Jan. 28. People may sign up by sending checks to P.O. Box 6353, Helena, MT 59604.
