Dawson County authorities have identified a Glendive man whose body was found Friday and whose death is under investigation as a homicide as Matthew Wiseman, 25.

Coroner Lance Silha did not release the cause of Wiseman's death and said an autopsy will be performed soon.

He referred further questions to the Montana Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation, which is investigating the death with the Glendive Police Department and the Dawson County Sheriff's Office.

John Strandell, DCI's investigations chief, said Monday that Wiseman's death remains under investigation but did not release more information about what happened.

Glendive police officers were called to a trailer home on Friday night, where Wiseman's body was found. Evidence at the scene led investigators to believe that the death might be a homicide, but officials haven't elaborated on the nature of the evidence.

No arrests have been made in the incident, Strandell said.
