BOZEMAN — Police in Bozeman have released more details about an apparent murder-suicide in the northwest part of the city.

Police Chief Ron Price says a 32-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were found dead in a bedroom at a condominium on Monday morning.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute shortly after 7 a.m. A roommate reported hearing the two people arguing and then a loud noise, possibly a gunshot.

The roommate said neither person in the locked room was responsive.

Officers forced their way into the bedroom and found the woman with a gunshot wound to the chest and the man with a gunshot wound to his head. Their identities are being withheld until family members can be notified.

Officers said both a rifle and a handgun were used in the shootings.
