HELENA — A ball is scheduled for Feb. 9 in Helena to celebrate the inauguration of Gov. Steve Bullock and Lt. Gov. John Walsh and their administration.

On the following day, a children’s inaugural ball and carnival will be held in Helena.

Bullock and first lady Lisa Bullock, and Walsh and his wife, Janet, issued an invitation to all Montanans for the events.

The 2013 Inaugural Ball is set for Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall. Because of limited space, there is a two-ticket purchase limit per person. Tickets are $25 per person.

Tickets may be purchased starting at 9 a.m. Monday on the fairgrounds’ website, www.lccfairgrounds.com.

More information on the event may be found at: www.stevebullock.com/ball.

Montana families are also invited to “A Big Sky Carnival,” Bullock’s children’s inaugural ball, at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. There will be carnival food and activities, with live music by The Whizpops.

The Bullocks' three children, Caroline, Alex and Cameron, will be special guests.

Those attending are asked to RSVP by emailing kidsball@stevebullock.com.

Guests to the children’s ball are asked to bring a nonperishable food item donation for Montana food banks.
