MISSOULA — Search and rescue teams from Missoula, Seeley Lake and Flathead County will try to recover three snowmobiles that crashed through the ice on Seeley Lake in December, leaving two people dead.

Missoula County Sheriff's Deputy Bob Parcell says the group plans to use a scuba team and boats to try to recover the snowmobiles Saturday — an operation he says could take all day.

The bodies of 25-year-old Derek Flesch, of Pablo, and 28-year-old Kurt Starkel, of Belgrade, were found floating a few hours after the accident at the lake 30 miles northeast of Missoula.

A third man was pulled from the water, and another snowmobiler who didn't fall in called 911.
