Almost 500 races were signed up for Sunday's Red Lodge-to-Billings challenge, the 33rd annual Peaks to Prairie Adventure Race.

Runners lined up on the highway south of Red Lodge for the snowy 8 a.m. start of the triathlon to Coulson Park in Billings. An 8.8-mile run is followed by a 43-mile bike ride and 23-mile paddle on the Yellowstone River to Coulson Park.
