GREAT FALLS - A fire has destroyed a building on the south side of Great Falls that housed several businesses, including an insurance agency and an adult bookstore.

Great Falls Fire/Rescue Battalion Chief Dwane Suthpin said no one was inside the building when the fire started early Monday and no injuries have been reported.

The fire was reported at about 2 a.m. and continued to burn as the sun came up. Suthpin said the building was a total loss.

NorthWestern Energy shut down power in high-voltage lines in the area, leaving several other buildings in the area without power.
