A Garryowen man with a history of child pornography convictions admitted to his third offense in U.S. District Court in Billings on Wednesday.

Jason Dean Pitsch, 42, pleaded guilty to one count of viewing child porn on computers in 2010 and 2011.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Marcia Hurd said in court records that Billings investigators noticed that a specific computer address had child porn movies to share and tracked down the computer to Pitsch's mother. Pitsch, who was living with his mother, admitted that he had used the computer to watch child porn, she said.

Pitsch was first convicted for child porn in 1998 and had been banned from using computers. In 2004, he pleaded guilty to possessing child porn on two computers while on probation for the first conviction. Pitsch, who was sentenced to three years in prison on the second conviction, was released in 2009.

Pitsch is facing a minimum mandatory 10 years to 20 years in prison and a possible $250,000 fine. Senior U.S. District Judge Jack Shanstrom set sentencing for May 9. Pitsch remains in custody.
