Gayla Benefield

Gayla Benefield, holds a portrait of her mother during a interview at her home in February, in Libby. For two decades Benefield has watched asbestos from a nearby vermiculite mine strangle the life from her parents. Benefield suffers from the microscopic asbestos fibers lodged deep in her lungs.
