GREAT FALLS — A 23-year-old Great Falls man was hospitalized in critical condition after an apparent hit-and-run on a city street.
Great Falls Police Sgt. Bryan Slavik said someone driving by noticed something leaning against a curb at about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday and when they slowed down, they noticed it was a person. Slavik said the man has life-threatening injuries.
Sgt. Jeff Beecroft said investigators believe the man was left injured for up to two hours.
Debris was found near the man, the only evidence connecting the man's injuries with a possible vehicle.
Police and the Montana Highway Patrol are investigating.
