GREAT FALLS — Two Great Falls parents have pleaded not guilty to charges that they endangered their 1-year-old daughter by not taking her to the hospital after the baby drank orange juice laced with methamphetamine.

Twenty-nine-year-old Lee Haas and 23-year-old Angela Haas were arraigned Thursday in Cascade County District Court.

Each has been charged with felony counts of endangering the welfare of children and criminal endangerment.

The couple was arrested June 14 after state social workers told police that the infant had tested positive for methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Angela Haas called a hospital after learning what the child drank.

She told police she was afraid her children would be taken away if she took the infant to the emergency room.
