Both lanes of Highway 310 near mile marker 34 north of Fromberg reopened Friday afternoon after being closed for a truck fire earlier in the morning.

A semitrailer carrying a load of hay caught fire after 7 a.m., closing both lanes of traffic. The Carbon County Sheriff's Office set up a detour. Eventually, one lane was reopened.

Shortly after noon, the Montana Department of Transportation said that the fire was out, the truck had been removed from the highway and both lanes were open. The road is bare and dry.

Firefighters with the Fromberg and Bridger volunteer fire departments responded to fire. No injuries were reported.
