An elderly Idaho woman died on Tuesday when the all-terrain vehicle she was riding rolled near West Yellowstone.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 84-year-old woman, from Firth, Idaho, was riding a Polaris ATV northbound on Antelope Basin Road in Madison County when she lost control while going down a hill on the gravel road.
She managed to steer the ATV back onto the road before it rolled, threw the woman and landed on top of her, the patrol said.
The woman was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
Her name has not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
