KALISPELL - A Kalispell woman was killed Friday near Bad Rock Canyon when she lost control of her vehicle and slid into oncoming traffic, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

Paulette Kaderli's car was struck by a sport utility vehicle traveling westbound on U.S. 2. Kaderli, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Flathead County coroner. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries and was taken to a Kalispell hospital in a private vehicle.

Icy roads played a role in the accident, according to the highway patrol.
