A Butte man accused of killing a transient while driving under the influence of methamphetamine pleaded not guilty in district court Thursday morning.

Lucas Virgil Hundley, 27, faces a felony charge of vehicular homicide while under the influence. Prosecutors say he was high on meth when he struck and killed a pedestrian on Harrison Avenue in October.

Hundley remains in jail on $50,000 bond.
