A tornado was not to blame for storm damage in West Yellowstone over the weekend, National Weather Service meteorologist Nick Langlieb said.

Winds up to 85 miles per hour blew through the town Saturday afternoon, ripping all or portions of roofs off three businesses, including the Best Western Westin Inn, and one home.

The storm, determined to be a microburst, knocked down between 100 and 200 trees and power poles.
