A Miles City man denied possessing child pornography in U.S. District Court in Billings on Thursday.

Darwin Dean Thrams, 47, pleaded not guilty to a child porn possession count as charged in an indictment during an arraignment before U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy Cavan.

Prosecutor Zeno Baucus alleged that for about 10 years, starting in 2005 and ending in 2015, Thrams possessed child porn on his computer.

If convicted, Thrams faces a maximum 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Cavan continued Thrams’ release to the custody of his parents. The case will be heard by U.S. District Judge Susan Watters.
