A 52-year-old Miles City man died after a single-vehicle crash west of Glendive on Sunday.

Montana Highway Patrol said the man, whose name wasn't released, was traveling eastbound in a semi-trailer on Interstate 94, about seven miles west of Glendive, when he lost control of the trailer and overturned it onto its left side at about 10:15 a.m.

The passenger, a 41-year-old Miles City man, was injured and taken to Glendive Medical Center.

The driver was also taken to Glendive Medical Center and then flown to Billings Clinic, where he was later pronounced dead.

Both men were wearing seat belts.

Ice-covered roads, blowing snow and strong crosswinds were considered factors in the crash, MHP said.
