At 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Montana Army National Guard will recognize 22 soldiers and their families from the Montana National Guard stationed in Glasgow and Malta during a Freedom Salute Ceremony at the Billings Convention Center, 1223 Mullowney Lane.

The soldiers are members of 484th Military Police Company who deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The ceremony is designed to publicly acknowledge the soldiers and those who supported them during recent military operations.

“The Freedom Salute ceremony provides us a way to show our appreciation for the service and sacrifice our soldiers and their families make when they volunteer to deploy for long periods of time,” said Maj. Tim Crowe, public affairs officer for the Montana National Guard.

The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony.
