A woman is dead and three people were hospitalized after a Thanksgiving Day rollover crash near Poplar.
The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. when a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe speeding east on U.S. Highway 2 left the road and rolled several times near mile marker 608, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
Three of the four people in the Tahoe were thrown out as the vehicle rolled, said Trooper Anthony Jenson. The 47-year-old female driver died at the scene.
The passengers included a 21-year-old man, a 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, all from Poplar. The younger man and the woman were taken to a hospital in Poplar, and the 28-year-old man was taken to a hospital in Wolf Point.
The names of the deceased and the passengers have not been released.
Jenson said speed and possibly alcohol or drugs could be factors in the wreck, which remains under investigation.
