MISSOULA — A California couple with ties to the University of Montana has committed a significant portion of their estate to the university’s Montana Museum of Art and Culture.

While the amount went undisclosed Friday, the gift from Suzanne and Bruce Crocker will support the director’s position at the museum well into the future.

Crocker and her husband reside in Palo Alto, Calif. She also serves on the Montana Museum of Art and Culture’s advisory council while her husband serves on the UM Foundation board of trustees.

The museum’s lack of a suitable gallery forces it to store away many art pieces in its collection.
