GREAT FALLS -- Ten months after his death, the ashes of Walter Breuning have been placed in a niche at a mausoleum in Great Falls.

Attorney Bob Kampfer, who represents Breuning's estate, recently completed arrangements to place Breuning's ashes at the Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Association's mausoleum.

The urn is adorned with a photo of Breuning, who died on April 14 at the age of 114, after a nearly two-year stint as the world's oldest man. No funeral service was held, at Breuning's request.

The urn reads: "Walter Breuning 1896-2011. A wondrous fellow, A distinctive honor, To have the Title of 'Oldest Man Alive.' "
