Two motorcyclists were killed in Rosebud County on Tuesday afternoon when the Harley Davidson they were riding crashed into a trailer being pulled by a motorcycle in front of them, according to Montana Highway Patrol.

A 57-year-old man and his passenger, a 55-year-old woman, both from Ephrata, Wash., were pronounced dead at the scene.

They were eastbound near mile marker 252 on U.S. Highway 12 when they hit a trailer being pulled by a motorcycle in front of them. The driver of that motorcycle was slowing down to pull to the side of the road.

The driver of the second motorcycle, a 63-year-old male, and his passenger, a 61-year-old female, were both injured and taken to Rosebud Healthcare Center in Forsyth.

Both bikers on the second motorcycle are from Ocean Park, Wash.

Speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash, and none of the bikers involved were wearing helmets, according to MHP.
