The inclement weather has caused numerous closures and cancellations in Missoula County for Saturday.

Parks and Recreation:

• The Butler Creek Boogie 1-mile and 5K fun run hosted at DeSmet School has been postponed until Saturday, March 8.

• Saturday morning swim lessons at Currents Aquatic Center are canceled. Currents will open at 9 a.m., and all recreation programs will resume Sunday.

• Open gym pickleball and basketball at the Sports and Wellness Center are canceled.

Shopping:

• Southgate Mall closed early Friday and will reopen for regular hours Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mall management will monitor the weather to make decisions on openings and closures. Check the mall’s Facebook page for further development.

On campus:

• While the University of Montana was closed Friday, normal campus activities, including those at Missoula College and Bitterroot College, are scheduled to resume Saturday at 10 a.m. Officials advise people to stay off campus if they don’t need to be there, as crews will be working to clear parking lots, roads and sidewalks.

Entertainment:

• The Missoula Winery and Event Center canceled the Saturday evening performance of Seattle’s The Cantaloupes, with featured artists Eden Atwood, Johan Eriksson and Robert Tapper.

• The Missoula Children’s Theatre postponed its weekend performances of “Peter and Wendy.” The shows are rescheduled for Saturday, March 8. For questions regarding tickets, the MCT box office will reopen on Monday, March 3, at 9 a.m. Call 728-7529.

• A Friday concert that was set to kick off the Missoula Symphony Orchestra’s Beethoven week has been rescheduled to the snowstorm.

• Pianist Lisa Smirnova’s Friday recital was canceled and reschedule for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the Music Recital Hall, University of Montana. For more information, call or visit go to missoulasymphony.org.

• Travelers’ Rest State Park’s winter storytelling is canceled, and will be rescheduled for a later date.

* A Carousel for Missoula is closed Saturday.

Transportation:

• The Associated Students of the University of Montana stopped the UDASH gold line bus service Friday, but planned to resume it Saturday at 7 p.m. Mountain Line bus service will continue to offer free service through Saturday.
