Rosebud County Sheriff Randy Allies identified an Ashland woman who died Wednesday morning in a rollover crash as Crystal Marie Parker Redrobe, 25.

She was a passenger in a pickup truck that rolled about 13 miles south of Ashland at about 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a 29-year-old Forsyth man, whose name hasn't been released, was driving the pickup northbound on Birney Road when it veered into the oncoming traffic lane, crossed back over and rolled several times off the the east side of the road before coming to rest in a field.

Redrobe was trapped in the truck and died at the scene, the patrol said.

The driver was taken to a Lame Deer hospital for treatment. His condition wasn't available on Thursday morning.

The Highway Patrol report on the crash indicates that alcohol played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
