CASPER - Wyoming education officials and a charter school group are revising state rules to make it easier to open a charter school.
The Wyoming Department of Education and the Wyoming Association of Public Charter Schools are working on a new set of rules that would define the application process more clearly.
School districts would still have to approve charter proposals, and a remediation process would be set up for any disputes.
Amy Edmonds, the association's executive director, says the revisions are a temporary solution and predicts further problems, but she says her group is "fairly happy" with them.
