JACKSON - The number of lodging rooms reserved in Jackson for the upcoming weekend is down slightly compared with this time last year.
Each week, the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce surveys local lodging reservations for the weekend ahead - a kind of barometer for the tourist-driven economy.
Hotels, motels and resorts in Jackson Hole report that 78 percent of their rooms are reserved for the upcoming weekend. That's down from 85 percent this time last year.
Eighty percent of rooms in Grand Teton National Park and Moran are reserved for this weekend. That's down from 99 percent this time last year.
