Former publisher Richardson dies

ROCK SPRINGS - Charles E. Richardson, the former publisher of the Daily Rocket-Miner in Rock Springs, has died. He was 74. Richardson died Monday at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, the Daily Rocket-Miner reported. The cause of death was not released.

Richardson worked in the family newspaper business throughout his youth before attending the University of Wyoming and serving in the U.S. Army.

Richardson returned to the family newspaper in 1960 and served as general manager, then publisher and president of the newspaper's board of directors. Richardson retired as publisher in 2000 and continued as president of the corporation until his death.
