CHEYENNE, Wyo. - The Wyoming Transportation Commission has approved five projects to widen two-lane roads to five lanes.
The projects include a six-mile section of U.S. Highway 26 north of Riverton and six miles of Wyoming Highway 59 south of Gillette. There are also plans to continue widening U.S. Highway 14A to five lanes between Cody and Powell.
In addition, portions of U.S. Highway 191 will be widened from two to five lanes just north of Eden and just north of Rock Springs.
The contracts were among nearly $55 million the commission awarded for 14 highway projects around Wyoming.
