A Sheridan, Wyo., woman was killed last week in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 about two miles east of Buffalo. The crash occurred Oct. 20 when Cara Underwood of Kentucky attempted to pass Joan Baumann of Sheridan, Wyo., as both parties were traveling east. Underwood's Nissan Sentra and Baumann's Jeep SUV collided, and both vehicles then rolled an undetermined number of times.
Baumann, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place at about 4:30 p.m. She was wearing a seat belt.
Her husband, 47-year-old Dallas Baumann, was a passenger in the Jeep and was taken to Wyoming Medical Center in Casper with multiple injuries. He remains hospitalized in fair condition.
Underwood, 18, and two passengers who were riding in the Nissan Sentra were also taken to area hospitals with multiple injuries.
