LARAMIE — A new bulletin from the University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service summarizes a four-year project that focused on helping people take responsibility for their own health.

The Wellness IN the Rockies project assisted communities in creating environments that foster good health.

The project emphasized a focus on health and not weight, and results reflect how people think about food, physical activity and their bodies.

For example, the project found that frugality and thrift can drive many to overeat in trying to get their money's worth or to not waste food.
